rainwater harvesting is suitable for most homes
Rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling can be done in most places, however there are a few exceptions. Check the list below, if you answer NO to any of the questions water savings measures may not be appropriate to you.
- Are you allowed to interfere with the plumbing in your property?
- Do you have roof space that you control the drainage of? (for rainwater harvesting only)
- Do you have space for a tank in the garden, underground or in the basement?
If you answered no to any of these, a specialist water system may not be for you. Don’t let that stop you from installing water saving shower heads and low-flow WCs though.
